Dr. Reid,
Great post. I feel like the current generation of pastors in their 20′s (which includes me) for the most part wants to make the GREAT IDEA the main thing again. My prayer as we grow older we are not seduced by the comfortableness of paychecks, established churches, and not rocking the boat. Anyone with the singular focus of the GREAT IDEA will be willing to sacrifice those three aspects of the established church.
Doc,
That is so true! We, as the Church, get caught in viewing christianity as an institution rather than God-inspired & God-led movement that it truely is.
Let’s all live the surrendered life, not just a committed one!
Thanks
